Hi Beautiful !

I woke up with a pretty long “to do list” Tuesday morning, and decided to blow it off.

Not only did I have a terrible sinus headache, but my mind was in the gutter.

I was filled with pain, negative thoughts, and definitely wasn’t even going to consider the 12 mile run I’d scheduled on my calendar.

I knew between my mindset and the way I felt nothing good was going to come out of anything I created in that moment, so I did something I haven’t done in quite a while - I gave myself the morning, took care of my head and journaled and meditated for several hours.

What came from that was nothing short of incredible.

I felt whole again. More whole than I remembered feeling.

I felt aligned again.

I redefined my wants (so important! If you need some help with that click on the link in the p.s.!) and felt at peace with exactly where I am in this moment.

This may sound like a luxury - taking a morning to realign yourself - but in all honesty it’s a necessity.

I know it’s not possible to blow off your schedule every morning, it’s not always possible for me either, but sometimes a mental health day is more important than anything else.

Sometimes you have to put yourself first and blow off your obligations.

The rest of my day was amazing and productive - more productive than I’d been if I’d “just pushed forward” and ignored my pain and my feelings.

My question for you is when was the last time you gave yourself that time?
